The fact is that more people are turning towards alternative types of animal bedding. There are a number of reasons why BEATABED makes sense and we have listed some of the main ones below.

If you have a query or would like further information on BEATABED please don't hesitate to contact us. Our details are listed on the CONTACT page.

Banff Environmental Action Team first produced animal bedding from recycled and shredded cardboard in 1998. Over the years the B.E.A.T team have listened carefully to what customers have had to say, this feedback has proved invaluable in developing a quality product that is both cost effective and simple to use.

In 2002 B.E.A.T commissioned Ken Mills Engineering to manufacture and install an automated mini-bed shredder, conveyor and bagging press. Only clean used cardboard free of tape, plastic and staples is used, the shredder ensures a uniform cut that closely resembles traditional wood shavings. A dedicated dust extraction unit minimises dust particles in the bedding material and an automated weigh scale ensures a consistent bale weight of 20kg.

BEATABED has been specially manufactured to minimise dust particles.

BEATABED doesn't crumble or disintegrate, therefore lasts for a longer period of time.

With BEATABED you DO NOT remove all the bedding and replace it, just pick out the manure and the saturated parts.

BEATABED is made from high porosity product which allows liquid and ammonia acids to be absorbed instantly.

BEATABED’S high absorbency levels help to control and eliminate odours.

BEATABED is 100% Biodegradable. Made from natural wood fibre products which ensures fast composting
